The best of historic races and conviviality to boot! Out of all the meetings organised in Belgium for veteran, vintage and classic cars, the F1 Historic & Spa Six Hours event tops the bill. Over the years, the Roadbook team headed up by Alain Defalle and Vincent Collard has shown its savoir-faire, to such an extent that it has now attracted the best promoters of race cars of yearsgone-bye, with the majority originating from abroad. This 2010 edition, scheduled on 24th, 25th and 26th September will not fail in its tradition, welcoming the best of the vintage motorsport. « We are particularly proud to offer a complete panel of all single-seater categories, a highly delighted Vincent Collard commented. Ranging from the Grand Prix Masters and their F1 built between 1968 and 1978, through to Formula Junior of the Formula Junior Historic Racing Association, passing by the F3, Formula Ford and FF2000 of the ’Historic Sport Car Club Open Wheel, not forgetting the Grand Prix cars of the

‘20s through to the ‘60s offered up by the Historic Grand Prix Cars Association, is definitely the best of the single-seaters of the past to be enjoyed by all aficionados. Williams, McLaren, Fittipaldi, March, Arrows, Brabham, Lotus, Shadow and many more; these are the most prestigious makes ever to having written the history of motorsport and which will now all be back on the most renowned track in the world » 108 cars on the grid for the Spa Six Hours If on the other hand the Sports cars, the GTs and Touring will be sharing the limelight in the other series, with notably the Ford Capri which won the 24 Hours of Spa in 1971 (Glemser-Soler Roig) entered in the British Sports-, GT & Saloon Challenge by its new Belgian owner Thierry de Latre du Bosqueau, it goes without saying that the Spa Six Hours, run on Saturday between 16.00hrs and 2200hrs, will be top of the bill No less than 108 cars on the grid, with as main contenders the Ford GT40 (there will be 7 or 8!), AC Cobra,

Jaguar E Type, Chevrolet Corvette or the Ford Mustang Shelby, driven by such specialists as David Hart, Oliver and Grahame Bryant, Martin Stretton, Jason and Jon Minshaw, Georg Nolte, Aaron Hsu, Christian Glasel not forgetting the official Audi Frank Stippler. Eclecticism will be at the rendezvous and the Belgian drivers also! « As never before quantity and quality will go hand in hand in these Spa Six Hours, Vincent Collard continued. But something that really delighted us is to note the increased number of Touring cars such as Mini Cooper, Alfa Romeo and BMW in all versions, who will be rubbing shoulders with the traditional Grand Touring references in this type of race. The Paddock Village concept has been extended, a convivial area, more welcoming and colourful than ever and where one can spend some enjoyable time, and to take a breather between races, or even during these. There will be several large screens on hand allowing the spectators to take on-going advantage of the event « In addition to the traditional stalls offering scale model, spare parts and other automobilia, we looked to divide the Village Paddock into several units, Alain Defalle explained. One section will be more informative, another

section will be concentrating on the garage and mechanical matters, as also an area reserved for artists, exhibiting sculptures, paintings and such like. In other words, something to everyone’s taste! The SpaFrancorchamps circuit podium has been entirely reconstituted as the original, with the same decoration as that for the drivers, and where it will be possible for the general public to have a photograph taken with the family or friends. On top of that there is the children’s area, in fact a thousand and one reasons to come to the most beautiful circuit in the world on 25th and 26th September » Highly faithful partners of the F1 Historic & Spa Six Hours, the FBVA, Fédération Belge du Véhicule Ancien, will be offering all members of this vintage and classic car club numerous advantages, amongst others free and safe parking.
