See page 8 for how to dispose of bottles and cans. From April 2017, bottles and cans will be collected from garbage stations, not bottle and can boxes. ○Why change collection to garbage stations? While bottle and can boxes are convenient, they bring a range of problems. In addition to inappropriate waste other than bottles and cans being disposed of, there have been noises, odors, and pests due to bottles and cans being disposed of at night. High costs are incurred to maintain and manage bottle and can boxes, so the city has decided to change to garbage stations. ○What will be done with the removed boxes? Removed boxes will be given to residentsʼ associations and schools that ask for them, and used for local resource collection. Bring your bottles and cans to garbage stations!
